  • ToP was there for me and my family through the most challenging period of my life. Having this service available allowed me to serve through the last few years of my military career in a way that I will always be proud of. ToP gave me a place that I could open up about my stresses and traumas throughout a 22 year career as a Navy SEAL and helped me become the happiest I've been in my life. I will forever be grateful.

  • TOP has been a blessing in my life in just a short time. As a veteran and military spouse it has given me an opportunity to serve in a way I didn’t realize existed until recently.

  • Having served in a CJSOTF capacity, I can unequivocally say that the level of professionalism required to trust others with personal matters is high.

  • I just found out about the Trails of Purpose family. I am a retired Navy Vet who is also disabled. Though not to the point where I can't help my fellow veterans overcome their areas of concern by list

  • After an event that none of us expected or knew how to handle, being able to have a safe space to handle our grief was invaluable. You and your team were knowledgeable in your field and made yourselves.

  • I loved this experience. It was well needed and perfect for what I am navigating in my military career currently. I was able to ask questions and get advice and hear different perspectives. I have more tools to add to my tool box. Even though it was hot we were cared for. The time with the horses was amazing. I started off scared and ended the session in love with being outside with them. Thank you all for what you do and taking your time to be with us. This service needs to be broadcasted more in mental health clinics at the commands.

  • I have been in the Navy for ten years. My first duty station was with EOD and my second was with the SEALs. My time in the Navy has been very stressful and non-stop work. On my second deployment, I had an allergic reaction to an unknown substance, which was already not a pleasant experience. After that experience, I began having panic attacks. I tried to deal with it on my own for a long time, then finally sought help from the mental health services within the military. That helped for a short time, but I could not get past my issues with anxiety, stress, and panic attacks. After my third deployment, I began having anxiety so bad that I would experience a tightness in my chest, accompanied by panic attacks. That brought me to Trails of Purpose and Kayla. Kayla helped me work through issues I had spent years either battling on my own or being frustrated with the military mental health system. Before Trails of Purpose, I felt like I was not really getting anywhere with therapy. It felt more like a bandaid than actually fixing the issue. Kayla helped me so much. She helped me work through my anxiety, how to deal with stress, how to communicate my feelings, and even helped my marriage. My wife even started to see one of the other therapists at Traisl of Purpose and it helped her more than I can express. Going to Trails of Purpose for therapy quickly became a highlight of my week. I went through a whole year of therapy, working with Kayla and the horses and I know that I am better for it. If you are wondering about seeking therapy in general or equine therapy, absolutely reach out to Trails of Purpose. It is evident that everyone there genuinely cares about whoever walks through their door and wants to help them.
